The iZombie panel just concluded, and it was a blast! We’ve put together all the major new particulars, for those of you who didn’t have the chance to watch the panel live. But don’t fear, the panel will most likely be uploaded online very soon – and we’ll of course share it with you once it surface. There was little information on the upcoming season, as expected, but we learned some fun information nonetheless. The cast is such a joy to watch, you can tell they really enjoy working together! And the panel has received great reviews on twitter – even people who have never seen the show applaud their amazing chemistry.
Thanks to our good friend over at C-odonoghue.com, we also have some stunning shots of Rose from the panel. We will have a lot more photos later, but check out these while you wait! Up next will be interviews, and we’ll hopefully have a lot more to share with you all later tonight.
-
- The Panel kicked off with a good season 3 highlight reel (which you can check out in a post below!)
- Rob Thomas says the discovery of zombies lets the show tell so many different types of stories in Season 4.
- Rahul says that the idea of playing a zombie is tempting to him, but he is staying quiet on Ravi’s fate for season 4. He loves Ravi’s human side, and likes playing him that way.
- While iZombie is a comedy show, it still comments on current situations, which Rose think is important.
- Chase Graves is going to make it illegal to scratch humans and turn them into zombies
- “It was really nice not to think about a dead dog” said Rose about the final Ravi and Liv scene. The emotions were real, and it was not a “Phoned-in tear”.
- “I mean he still pines for her [Peyton] but I pine to be Chris Pine.” – David Anders. He also said the Peytyon/Blaine ship has sailed.
- Rob Thomas said that there was a fear that bringing Clive in on secret would have them lose all Clive’s reactions to Liv’s zombie eccentricities. But he still has the best reactions!
- Peyton will be busy in the court room with a lot of human vs zombie cases this coming season. Aly hopes she stays human.
- Liv has a new love interest in Season 4 that Rob Thomas created JUST because of the ship name.
- Aly says that Peyton will respect Chase Graves and Fillmore-Graves but will also challenge his ethics.
- Aly is happy with the zombie world message in relation to what’s happening in the real world. “It says such a commentary on what’s happening in America right now.”
- The whole cast agrees that the D&D episode is the most fun they’ve ever had on the show.
- Rose says her Dungeon Master voice was actually inspired by someone she knows. She follows her instincts for every brain.
- Rose hadn’t rehearsed her Dungeon Master voice. Cast heard it for the first time when they filmed the scene.
- Rose said that because of the busy schedule, she rarely gets to really rehearse the different brain personalities.
- The musical episode started out as a joke but now it’s become a thing, but only Dianne, David and Rose really want it. The cast got into a heated (but fun) discussion about whether they wanted one or not.
- Rose said she’d want to sing “Potential Breakup Song” by Aly and AJ in a musical episode.
- David wants a @HamiltonMusical King George song in hypothetical #izombie musical episode!
- Malcolm wants Liv and Clive to come together to make a zombie cookbook
- Aly advices Peyton to seek counselling, both in the men department and in the drinking department.
- Robert’s advice for Major is to stop dating. Probably a good idea!
- Rose has no advice for Liv other than give her mom a ring more often.
- Rahul’s advice for Ravi is “Stop putting random stuff in your mouth!”
- And a big announcement – Robert Knepper is Promoted to Series Regular in Season 4! As Blaine’s father.
- Rahul dishes that they blew so many takes when he and Rose did the switched American and British accents scene, because it got so ridiculous.
- Aly really wants to do more group scenes. We fully support this wish!
